I have one clematis that gets a fungus infection every year! Help!

I treat it with a sulphur compound and it comes back but not as well as it starts out..Sure would like some ideas.

Cut back affected stems to ground level and avoid plant stress by keeping the soil well fed and mulched. Put a shield around the base of the plants to stop infected water splashing up onto the base of the stems. Good luck!

If the leaves get grey powder its clematis wilt sorry I cannot help have the same problem however they both flower but not so good

it sounds as though the problem might be in the soil....can you remove the soil around the clematis and replace the soil?
