What's killing the rose bushes?

    I can't really be sure from your image but my guess would be rosette disease. It's easier to diagnose when the plant is actively growing as you will see reddish new growth, deformed leaves and an explosion of thorns. branches also appeared thicker, thorns are larger and the branch itself seemed more porous breaking easily just by bending. I had several roses that were lost as there is no cure I had heard of.

    I think there is a disease that's killing them. I have two large bushes, several years old. They are dying, and several neighbors are have the same problem. If this is it, there isn't much chance of saving them.
