We have a rust spot about size of a quarter in our bathtub- help!

    Make a mixture with white vinegar and baking soda or cream of tartar and lemon.

    If a container of some kind was sitting there..you can use vinegar and the scrub side of a sponge to rub it. It worked for me.

    If the enamel is gone on a metal bathtub and you are to the metal finish, then cleaners can take the rust away but will not cure the REASON that rust spot appears. I sand the damaged area with a cuticle board for nails and paint white nail enamel into the spot. Hope this helps.

    Soak an old sponge in some Pepsi or coke and let it sit overnight. The rust may have pitted the finish, but you can match some touch up tub paint to deglaze the spot!

    I have cleaned all sorts of stains on my tub with bar keepers friend powdered cleanser. Hope it helps!
