Like you have a terrace built out either off the first floor of the house, or on a hill where it starts out on the ground and there is space to garden and sit UNDER the built out surface? Or something else I'm not understanding... I think you need to flesh out your question with more info before we can answer it. Also, what is your USDA plant zone, so we can suggest things that won't instantly die? Average temps? Humidity?
