Under window storage furniture

I'm looking to build a under window storage piece that'll hold either baskets or have cubby holes for storing DVDs. Any suggestions on where to look for plans or furniture?

There are a lot of clever ideas for cutting down dressers and sideboards on HomeTalk and Pinterest. If you take the drawers out you have a place for shelves for baskets. Put a cushion on top and you have a window seat.

Perhaps build or purchase a simple wooden bookcase (without trim or remove the trim) and lay it sideways under the window. Maybe even make a top with a padded cushion.
