A safe weed killer for a flower bed close to a lily pond?

I have a lily pond close to a large flower bEd. I used weed killer in the flower bed and evidently after a very hard rain, some of the weed killer washed into the lily pond killing all the fish. Can you recommend a weed killer that another hard storm would not kill the fish?

Boiling water is the absolute safest, sure-fire way to kill unwanted plants/weeds. Pour boiling water over the roots of the plant in question. You will see an immediate reaction, and will be able to pull the plant/root immediately. This natural method doesn't harm the environment, pond water, fish or other beneficials.

White vinegar.Spray or pour it on the weeds you want dead and they will fast.Boiling hot water works too.

I agree with PJ. Boiling water is the way to go. Even though white vinegar is safe for most things it will change the PH level in the pond which in turn will harm the fish.

Boiling water on them. Vinegar may change pH of pond so keep an eye on how plants there look to know if can use more or not.

Definitely not vinegar. Even if you do not get it in the pond it will wash in with the next rain. That causes the acidity level to raise in the pond and can kill the fish.

Thank you all ever so much. Will stick to the boiling water.
