After painting my wooden work station what is best sealant to use?

Inside work surface ? A water based (non-yellowing) polyurethane . Outside work surface ? A marine grade polyurethane .

polyutherane is your best bet. I live in Miami, extreme heat and rains every other day. Everything I have in my backyard is coated with it....lol!

Thompson poly seal. Its pricey but it's easy and cures fast

Several coats of polycrilic, lightly sanding in between. This will give you a good protective cover that will not yellow.

i agree with Jack above...polyurethane..

My Dad always used polyurethane when he refinished furniture. I have an old claw foot table, chairs, antique school desk, antique desk and antique highchair that he did in the seventies and they still look like they were just refinished.
