Best way to paint older cabinets that have old white paint on them?

    First, clean them with TSP to remove any old dirt, grease build-up etc. Then, lightly sand them to remove any shiny finish. Then, use a coat of good primer, and two coats of a kitchen/bath enamel paint. It is more durable than standard latex paint in most cases. Check with your local home center for more info.

      Thanks for such a prompt reply! I was hoping more for a 'wash them with this magic product and then paint at will.' But, this sounds more unfortunately realistic.

    Paint with Chalk Paint - No Preparation and then wax.

    Satin or semi-gloss finish kitchen and bath paint will be easier to maintain.
