Yes, because satin is a finish, like flat and glossy. Be use to use a moisture retardant as a primer, like Kilz. If Kilz makes a satin 2-3 coats of that ought to beautify and protect your bathroom walls or cabinets. Best wishes!

The experts say use anything with a shine to it so it repels moisture and can be wiped down, but honestly I use just plain flat paint like you would use in any room, and never had a problem of any kind. Stay with a well-made brand. I always use Behr or Sherwin Williams.

Yes you can use paint in a satin finish. Many homeowners will use semi-gloss, but I prefer the satin finish. I think it's a personal preference. There is a product called Mildewcide (@ Ace Hardware) that you can add to the paint to help prevent mildew buildup. Here, it's $4.99 for a bottle for each gallon of paint. Best of luck.

It is not the finish hat makes the difference in the bathroom. You will need to choose the paint recommended for moisture in the bathroom and then select your sheen
