Look what you can create for your garden simply updating an old discarded brass chandelier:
I found an old brass chandelier and decided to give it a new life, with using some solar lights! This way, I can use it in my garden. All I needed was some spray paint!
Because I was planning on using this in the garden, I took the time to prime the project. As you may have noticed, the chandelier is lifted off the table with the help of an old coffee can, in order for the spray paint to reach all the surfaces.
The first thing I did was remove all the electrical “guts”. In addition, for this project, I removed the “dishes” that originally supported the light bulbs.
Next, I applied the finishing coat of spray paint. I chose hammered metal since it most closely matched the solar lights I had purchased.
And finally, I attached just the tops of the solar lights. Be sure to use quality clear glue that is suitable for outdoor use.
And there you have it!!! Looks brand new, and is ready to be used outside in my garden! So elegant and I love it.
