How can I take an old window & place different season pictures behind?

I would like a picture on my living room wall that changes with the season. I have seen old windows with pictures behind them. I dont know where to get a rustic window. As far as the picture I could probably order one of each season. Then I need to figure out how to keep it on the back of the window.

You could also look at Habitat for Humanity - ReStore if you have one in your area. Another option that would be less heavy is to create your own with cardboard of Styrofoam. Make it rustic looking by painting with 2 colors (Chalk Paint works well) The first color should be the color you want as the rustic part, the second one would be the main color. Paint the rustic paint and let it dry. You can smear Vaseline on the parts that you want to look rustic then paint over it all with the main color. After it dries, wipe off the part where you put the Vaseline. That will leave parts of the rustic paint showing through. Here are some samples from Pinterest:

    Hope that helps.

Command makes a poster/picture adhesive so you can change the pictures when you want.

    Hi Shell

I used clear picture corners. Stick the corners on the back of the glass, this way you are able to change out the pictures easily.

Try using styrofoam square with fabric. Just cover with fabric ,staple on the back. The staple will pull out easily to recover and there are so many different patterns of fabric. Put up with command strips.
