keep it where you can enjoy it. Packed away in a box it will be forgotten.

I don't understand what you mean. Do you want to put it away out of sight?

Or do you want to spruce it up so you can enjoy having it to look at? Also is there a photo possible of this lamp?

You can buy lamp wiring at most department stores and it is easy to do. If you just want to pack it away, wrap it in bubble wrap before putting it in a box or whatever you decide to place it in.

Ohhhhhhhhhh I think you meant to write REWIRING NOT retiring right? if this is what you meant to say then I would check in your area to see if there is a retired electrician. The usually are much more gentle and careful with your treasured belongings. I have a neighbor who is a retired electrician and he is doing a great job with my childhood dollhouse made by my uncle 70 years ago. His knowledge

of older anything electrical is amazing, Good luck hope you can find someone

    close by you
