How to paint a glass vase ?

I want to paint it and then go over it light gold spray paint. Any help would be appreciated,

You can buy glass paints at a craft store
They sell paint specifically formulated for glass. Craft and hobby stores will carry them as well as home improvement centers.

you can pour water in a bowl then pour old finger nail polish in it. The polish stays on the top, then dip the vase and remove quickly. It gives a swirling effect like colring an Easter egg.
you can actually put food coloring and mod podg mix and put inside and swirl around entire glass then let sit upside down on paper towel n let dry.
