Our hosts are getting eaten up what would it be and how do we treat?

Snails and slugs LOVE hostas. Crush up eggshells and place around your hostess. Snails and slugs will not crawl over them.

Bettin you meant hosta's... also betting it's slugs..google slug control after you go get some cheap beer, you'll need it, and it works.

Try this...1 cup ammonia, 1 cup Listerine ORIGINAL then stir. Then ADD 1 cup Epson salt STIR. Then ADD 1 cup Lemon AJAX but DO NOT STIR pour into spray bottle and SPRAY HOSTAS wetting leaves. Repeat as necessary.

Is it bunny rabbits, I have a family who has had a lovely time eating my hostas and lots of other plants they find tasty. I have tried all kinds of things, my next thing is to relocate them. I am making note of plants they dont like, like sedum, so i can plant lots of those next year.

Could be slugs...if so, set out a small, shallow dish of stale beer. They will crawl in and drown. Or, it could be bunnies. If so....fencing is an option....

Kept the bunnies away with cayenne pepper powder. Use crushed egg shells for slugs and snails, they won't cross it. Have never tried the beer, but hear it works really works well. I don't drink it, so it is hard to use it.

couple moth balls or vinegar
