My bamboo plants will not live-should I keep them in rock or dirt?

What have you done with them? Are they the lucky bamboo?
If you want them to live, totally move them and restart. Bamboo doent doe unless the first or water has rotted.

You may have them in too bright of a spot. Also, if you're watering with tap water, let the water sit a day before watering. I grow mine in water.
