What kind of paint to refinish an outdoor table top from the 80's?

I don't know what kind of hard plastic it is made of, bu the top is stained from years plus stains from my projects.

Rustoleum and Krylom both make a paint for plastic that work great. You can can also use a plastic primer for even better coverage.

Louise, I don't know if you'd want to refinish it if you could just get it clean and stain free (link below), but if you DO still want to refinish it AFTER you get it all cleaned up (which is the first step in refinishing) I have some information below on how to do that, too. First, however let's address the cleaning situation with the following link:

If you decide to paint it after cleaning it up here are some ideas to consider:

I hope these links give you the inspiration to do what you would like most for your situation (keep furniture as is after cleaning it, or going ahead and changing it up) .... enjoy your "new" table and your summer, Louise :) Thnaks for using Hometalk for ideas and solutions :)

Go to your local home improvement store and talk to the people in the paint department. Ask them what they think of Rustoleum's paint for plastic outdoor furniture. They advertise it on TV all the time
