Planting under oak trees in Florida
I live in Florida, I want to plant ground cover under my oak trees. With or without flowers.
I really don't think much does well under an Oak but you could try (depending on what area of the country you are in ) bromeliads.
I have an Iris bed around my Pin Oak. They do well, bloom well each year and I have greenery around my tree all year long.
Impatients all colors mine do very well.
I'd go with Hostas or ferns.
