    Hi Kathy!

Depending on the intensity of the stains there are various ways you might get rid of them:

Apply equal parts of vinegar and olive oil with a soft cloth. Rub it in with the grain of the wood and shine it up afterwards with another (clean) soft cloth.

Petroleum jelly (vaseline) rubbed on the stains and left there for about 24 hours before being removed with a soft cloth can help, too.

Mayonaise rubbed on the wood is said to draw out the water to prevent it from warping.

For more persistent stains, you can also use (non-gel) toothpaste or even a mix of white toothpaste and baking soda. Once again rub it on the stain parallel to the wood grain and then wipe it off with a clean soft cloth.

After all of these methods you can then shine your table with high quality furniture wax or citrus oils (lemon, orange). :)

this is an old solution that I hope will work for you. Cover those marks with mayonnaise (not low fat). Leave it over night and those water marks should be gone in the morning...

I've had success by working a dab of peanut butter into the stain. Let it sit for half an hour and then wipe it off with a clean dry cloth.

Try this! To get rid of those telltale watermark rings left by sweating beverages, gently rub some non-gel toothpaste on the wood with a soft cloth. Then wipe it off with a damp cloth and let it dry before applying furniture polish. For even stronger cleaning power, mix equal parts white toothpaste and baking soda.

Apple cider vinegar and olive oil half and half. Mix up a little and rub in to table with a cloth. Buff and add more if necessary.
