You have all these metal craft dies. How are you ever going to be able to quickly choose which ones you'd like to use for your projects? Wouldn't it be nice to see at a glance what you actually have and which ones will fit your paper and will suit your project? I have an easy, inexpensive way to do just that. Put magnets on your craft cupboard doors and put all your dies on them. It's Genius! What makes it even better is the price. Don't go in for those expensive magnetic sheets that are specially shaped for your special cases. Purchase a magnetic vent cover and staple gun it right to your door. Your die will stay put when you close the door until you open it to choose one for your next project. Hang the magnet whichever way you have room on your door. Fill the entire door with them. For the price, 3/$5.00, you can afford to purchase several packages. They can be cut to size and you can organize them any way you want. Take the dies off, use them, and when finished, put them right back in their place. The white part goes against the door, so that the magnet is facing up for the die to attach to. You might need two people to hang them. One to hold the magnet and the door firmly and the other to run the staple gun. One staple on each corner should hold them to your door. Load up your magnet panels and admire your organization. Then get ready to CRAFT!
Purchase a 3 pack of magnetic vent covers from any hardware store . They cost about $5.00/3 for each package.
This is what one magnetic vent cover looks like - front and back. The front is a white portion that has it's uses, too. (Please check my previous entry for this information. "When a small magnet just won't do".) The back is dark colored, shiny and smooth, and is magnetic and the dies easily stick to it and just as easily come off when tugged on with a small amount of pressure.
On the thinner doors, I ran the magnets vertically. I tried to put similar dies together.
On the wider doors, the magnets can be placed horizontally with similar dies being placed together.
Or you can just put your dies on in whatever fashion you would like without any order at all. They can now be easily seen to be chosen from for use in your projects and returned to their holding places. Store any extra magnets lying flat on a shelf.
