What is TSP and where do I get it?

I have thirty year old kitchen cabinets and they need to be cleaned. From what I have read that may be the best way to do it. Can anyone give me advice to do this job?

Love TSP! It comes as a powder in a box. You can buy it at Home Depot or maybe Lowe's in the paint department. Because TSP is phosphate, I use about 1/4 cup in my laundry. Helps with stains.

This is a good link of the pros and cons of using TSP:

Most home improvement stores carry it or a substitute (which is addressed in the above link)

TSP is found in every cleaning product out there. You can find it in hardware stores, Home Depot and Lowes. It works great.

you can purchase tsp at any hardware store and it is used to degrease/clean walls, cabinets, furniture etc prior to painting. Tsp is relatively inexpensive to use...there are other degreasing products available but will likely cost more without being any more effective. Tsp disolves in water and you will wash down your cupboards thoroughly according to the pkg directions. I would likely rinse the cupboards afterwards to avoid a film.

I think it stands for TriSodium Phosphate...but not positive. It's a powdered cleaner that you mix with water. Very strong cleaner that removes grease and build up from floors, cabinets, etc. Works great. You can get it at your local hardware store or home center. Very reasonably priced.

Tsp is a phosphate cleaner, I buy mine at the hardware store. It is a fantastic cleaner. One suggestion to make your job easier squirt the cupboards with warm vinegar and water half-and-half mix before wiping with the tsp.
