A New Look for an Old Dresser

This dresser has been part of our family for many years. I like its shape and even though I was not crazy about the wood color I lived happily with it for all those years. But now that I'm changing things in my bedroom and going for a white room, I had to decide if the dresser should stay or go.
My decision: It stays! The good thing, the change was minimal ;)
The before. Ready to use for the first time a DIY-chalk paint.
By painting only the exterior, not touching the top or the drawers, I completed the whole makeover in only one morning.
A light distressing and staining included.
I like how the quarter sawn oak (I didn't know that was the name for the unique wood grain effect, until a reader pointed out :/), drawers get most of the attention.
