Hi there! You can paint a vinyl floors. You must prepare them properly. Sand to remove the glossy finish. Patch any deep cuts and holes with wood putty. Primer with 2 coats and paint with two coats of paint for floors and porches. I would google painting floors for other options.

Usually you can lay new flooring right over existing linoleum. Just make sure you prep it well first. Patch any holes or tears, and clean it thoroughly. Then you can cover with almost anything!

I like to use my carpet cleaner on kitchen floors that are real dirty especially if the lino is embossed. First pass, use lemon ammonium in case someone used Mop & Glow, I put the stuff in the water reservoir. And when I'm done I put clean water in the reservoir and make another pass to suck up any remaining dirty water.

Second Pass.. I will use spic and span liquid in the reservoir, and make another cleaning pass. Then another pass with clean water in reservoir. I use a brush on a long handle to scrub out the crud if its embossed.

When it drys you can seal it with ,,,, using a lint-free cotton cloth on a Swiffer.... http://www.homedepot.com/p/IdealHeat-5-ft-x-36-in-Radiant-Floor-Heat-Film-with-Anti-Fracture-Membrane-IH-AF-36-5/206689289?MERCH=REC-_-PIPHorizontal1_rr-_-205613818-_-206689289-_-N this is a restorer and will get rid of dullness and scratches, and add shine.

Put stick on tiles for about $1-$9. Make sure you get tiles from the same lot #, the tiles will all be the same shade otherwise it will be different. You measure the room, and start from the middle and work out to the boarders, the back of the tiles gives you and arrow as to how to position them. See if you can get a course @ your local Home Depot or Lowes. Hope I helped Good Luck!

I like the idea of putting peel and stuck tiles over existing tiles. How do I deal with the height difference at doorways. I have two. I found boxes of tiles at my local Dollar Tree that are exactly what. I want.
