I have tried those hoses that curl back and they don't last. Sturdy hoses get caught under my wheels, can't reach all shrubs.

Is the reason your coil back hoses break is because you have left the water on creating pressure which breaks them. They now have one which is black colored and it takes higher water pressures.

If the person has a ramp, he/she can go outside, turn on water, and spray. Some sprays are adjustable, and can do this. Use a belt to keep the person in the chair, for added protection. J.

Yes, we have tried those hoses too, and were deeply unhappy with them. That was shocking, to say the least. Try to keep the hose in front of you, or use with with your right hand, across you lap. Be careful of this, and get a stronger hose to hold up to this factor. J.

can you have someone help you to put in a watering system? I use a low tech system that stays in the garden all the time and hooks up to the garden hose. It is made from 1/2" flexible tubing From which runs 1/4" line to small sprinklers, or pots, or my raised bed. There are also small sprinklers that go right into the tube. Look online for Lee Valley Tools....they have a wonderful array of watering systems that once set up should make life much easier for you! My system cost approx $60 for huge yard front and back (gardens only, not grass)

Have you thought of trying a soaker hose? You place it on the ground in your garden anywhere that needs water, you just leave it there. When you want to water, just turn on your hose and let it do the job for you. You could also put it on a timer, that would keep you from having to go out and turn the hose on and off.
