What is the correct way to water around a new house foundation?
We've been told to water around our new house foundation to help eliminate settling and foundation cracks later. We've been told to start at the foundation and work our way out 10 feet using a soaker hose. How long do we let the water run? We live in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Thanks for your help.

The builder should be giving you these instructions - they are familiar with the area, soil, climate. This is what you are paying them for. Just off the top of my head, at least an hour in each zone in order to get a deep enough soak, pobably more.
