Begging succulent owner can I leave my pots in the rain

live in Fla and we showers often but it's hot most of the day

    It can actually be good for your succulents as long as long as you have proper drainage. Rain provides dissolved minerals and washes away dust that inhibits photosynthesis. It dilutes and flushes salts and harmful chemicals that have built up in the soil from tap water and provides nitrogen essential to growth.

    Yes, but good drainage (both the soil type and the pot) is crucial. Don't use typical potting mix alone or definitely no garden soil. Miracle Gro makes a succulent and cactus mix, but you can accomplish the same by adding vermiculite or perlite to standard potting mix (not soil). I live in FL, same type of weather, and all of my cacti & succulents live outside in pots.
