We purchased our first house a couple of months ago which is super exciting! However, this means that we are elbow deep in remodeling and restoring which is a lot of work. We knew when we purchased the home we would change the colors! We like a lighter more neutral feel. Take a peek at what we've done with our kitchen with just a coat of paint!
Before.
We used Sherwin Williams Pure White Oil Based paint. We took off the cabinet doors. We used a foam roller to roll the paint onto the cabinets.

And love how it came out. Look how much brighter the room appears. We are loving the way it looks! The transformation is incredible. We knew changing the the color would make a complete different look. But, we are amazed at how much it lightened the rooms around the kitchen as well.
Before the kitchen was quite dark and dreary. We went for a lighter and brighter look.
I'm so excited to be writing this post today! We are in the process of remodeling our new home. My husband and I purchased a 1983 ranch style home a couple of months ago. We are elbow deep in remodeling and restoring.

We are so happy with the outcome. We have so much more in the works. I can't wait to show you the other transformations. I'll be back soon with fireplace update. That makeover is by far my favorite. Stay tuned.

No ma’am. It’s the same size. ;) it’s just lighter paint.

WOW! You can barely tell it's the same kitchen. Beautiful job, btw, I found out that it's easier to paint the cabinet doors if you use paintable caulk in the crevices on the doors. You get a better and cleaner looking paint job. First time I painted mine, I had tiny gaps in the paint there. Live and learn, right? Lol.. thanks for the post.
