Knife Block Makeover With Plaster Paint
I had a knife block sitting in my kitchen that was looking a little sad. It's been with me for over 10 years - so it was in need of a makeover. With my favorite Plaster Paint color in hand - Old Red - I brightened it up a bit and gave it some new life. www.wonderlandandcompany.com
And now it's a pop of color in my kitchen and maybe I can get another few years out of it!
Before: so plain and dull.
Materials Needed: 8 oz. jar of Plaster Paint, a natural bristle paint brush and a sanding sponge.
I roughed up the edges a bit and gave it a distressed look.
And I did a Black Tie 'wash' over the whole thing.

I have a plastic knife block (it's white) and it looks horrible; can I paint plastic? any suggestions?

Delia - the paint that I used on my knife block will work on plastic as well - as long as you seal it with a finishing wax or a poly.
