How to get mosquitoes out of your yard?

we wait all year to be out in the beautiful weather only to be chased indoors by those horrid mosquitos. I'm very sensitive to their bites and they itch for a whole week or more. We do not have a screened area. The electric zapper doesn't work. even if I use repellent, the areas I have missed get bit. Help please.

those little blood suckers are born in stillwater...dump out all water holding containers. Use a fan to keep a steady breeze going. If your yard collects large puddles use a granular mosquito treatment.

If you want to keep them away from a small area (where you may be entertaining, for example), turn on a fan. The mosquitoes can't fly around with the air flow.

  • I use fans, 2 of them, on low setting, flying bugs do not like air movement.

I have the same problem. I have tried everything and the best product I have found is Avon's Skin So Soft. I am allergic to most chemical repellants, but this is mild, sweet smelling and very effective.
