My Passion For Decor's Family Room Tour

I'm sharing some pictures of my Family Room and my DIY ottoman. I love how cosy, warm and vintage our family room has turned out. When we bought this house the room was a greenish, yellow and it felt cold and uninviting. This room is huge and needed a new color to bring in some warmth. This is the BEFORE picture from the real estate listing. This just shows the color of the room. Everything in this room belongs to the sellers.
I had the walls painted in Cinder by Benjamin Moore, which instantly warmed up the big room and made it feel homey.
The vibe and feel I was trying to go with this room was a masculine, men's club with a touch of modern. I'm the only woman in a house full of men so I still needed to feel comfortable in the room.
I do have a very large globe collection and This room is the perfect place to display a large piece of my collection.
A friend scoped out a pair of these plaid wool chairs for me at an estate sale.
This is one of my most loved possessions, my library card catalog cabinet.
This is my DIY ottoman. The hubby and I completely made this from scratch. There are more details on the blog post
Another one of my prized possessions, my linen pull down map of Europe and my light up globe.
