How do I keep squirrels out of my tomatoes?

My tomato vines are producing great but I have not been able to harvest any fruit because the squirrels get to them first.

dust with cayenne pepper, the whole plant. As soon as they get a whiff, they're gone. do this daily, as wind and rain take it away. best time is dusk, less wind.

Bird feeders attract squirrels and they will build their nest in your property because of that food supply ... Then they 'find' your tomato plants!! Add chili or Cheyenne pepper to your birdseed. Won't hurt the birds and will discourage squirrels from nesting. Cheyenne dust your plants also, as previously recommended.

I plant onions and garlic with tempting vegetables in my garden; and with some of my flowers that succumb to aphids. The fragrances help keep pests and "critters" away.
