You can put 20 Mule Team Laundry Borax down for ants and millipedes (this is what contractors use here), you can use diatomaceous earth down for milipedes that also won't harm pets.

For the ants, 2x a year in Spring and Fall, I spray my foundation to the wood siding and all doorways and window frames with a Carpenter and Termite spray I got at True Value that had the bonus of not having sugar/piss ants for years now.

I hired an exterminator to come quarterly. The ants come at random times and it's embarrassing. This is the least stressful solution, believe me.

millipedes want dark and moisture. find out where they are getting it and first dry it out then seal it up. Location will determine how you'll do that. ants are only looking for food. they carry it back to the nest, underground. Clean, clean, clean. remove all access to any food. That means anything in boxes on shelves. They don't need to be opened, ants are very small and just go in and chew their way into a sealed plastic inner bag and start carrying the food back home. There is also the idea of a barrier around the outside of the house that keeps them from coming in. Its a spray that drys to a film of something the ants and most other insects can't tolerate. It's not water soluble, so no need to reapply after each rainfall. available at hardware and big box home stores.
