Epoxy paint or spray. I have used the paint on a 60's sink, bright and new. Now doing the tub. Check out the Epoxy at hardware store or home store. Follow safety precaution.

I installed a 1930's drainboard sink in my kitchen. I wanted to have it resurfaced but was told it would not hold up to the daily grind of washing the dishes. So I installed is as it. It's not really bad, but if yours is holding up, I will remove mine and redo it. What brand of epoxy did you use?

I painted my sink while it was hanging on the bathroom wall. Don't overdue on the paint, as it will run, if you get it too heavy, and let it dry if you need to add another coat. It took about three days for the paint to set up and paint smell to disappear completely with windows open. While I was waiting on the sink, I noticed the tub and painted the top rim around the tub with one coat. It covered perfectly and took care of any unsightly caulking gaps. Now to do the whole tub. I will have to read the can for a brand, just for look Epoxy and it will be on the hardware store shelf. I am going to try the Epoxy spray too,,,.on something. I noticed that using Comet and/or bleach on older porcelain tubs/sinks eats away the porcelain, since it is old and thinning out. I plan not to use Comet or bleach on my new paint job. just use a spray cleaner like 406 or something very mild but disinfectant and clean with a soft cloth or paper towel. Enjoy your new sink!
