Hello Mary Ann; Do you have any idea how old your Wicker chairs are??

I am asking, because if they are true Antiques, I would be hesitant on re weaving the wicker.

If they are Antique, I would contact a person that specializes in such things and would get a bid.

One way to tell if your Wicker is Antique is by the weight of the piece. Also, if the wicker is made with what resembles paper over wire.

However, I do have some pieces that are made with what looks like shaped long sticks. This I have attempted to do. I purchased the sticks at Home Depot, and I used heavy glue and I repainted it.

I hope that this helps you!!! Take Care!

I would recommend using a product that is cheap and available almost everywhere called "Rock Hard" its a water putty that cures fast and solid. Ive used it many times repairing window sills and door casings with much success. just use caution as not to apply too much, although it is sandable it takes a lot of effort to remove any excess.
