Help with my Potted Tomato plants?

I have not been successful with having potted tomato plants. I have done lots of reading on them and tried many different tactics. This year I finally went down to one plant per very large container. I use fresh each year "vegetable potting soil", I fertilize (box fertilizer) appr every 2-3 weeks, water daily, snip the lower greenery to encourage more tomatoes vs leafs growth, and as for the sun factor, where they are placed gets about 3/4 of a day of sun. I can get a few tomatoes but they are not "great" tomatoes nor plentiful. I get plenty of leaves though! What are other things I need to try?

You may just not be getting enough fertilized flowers with the decline in bee populations. That happened to me one year; all green, almost no fruit. Try gently shaking the branches with flowers, q-tip from blossom to blossom, or encourage bees by planting pollinator attracting flowers and plants. Temperature can also make a huge difference. Tomatoes need heat, but around 85 to 95, more or less can limit your harvest.
Make sure that you are watering around the plant and not over it.
