Boring Chair to Charming Chair

I was given a set of chairs that didn't match any of my furniture but they were good, solid chairs. After a little updating, I had four brand new chairs that added a touch of charm to my home.
The original chairs with a light wood with red seats. All of my furniture is dark, so I found a dark brown Behr paint, removed the seats, and started painting. I should also mention that I sanded the chairs before I started painting because there was a glossy finish on the original wood.
I found a fun, pretty pattern that I thought would look good with the new dark brown color. I didn't remove the original seat cushion because it was in really good condition and didn't need to be replaced. I measured and cut the fabric so that each piece would wrap around the seat cushion and started stapling.
After pulling the fabric tightly around the seat and stapling it in place, I cleaned it up a bit by cutting off all of the excess fabric.
I reattached all of the reupholstered seats and suddenly I had a gorgeous new set of dining chairs!
Before & After
From boring to charming in just a few days! This was one of my favorite upcycled projects. I absolutely love the new look and it's a much better fit for my home.
