Turning A Dumpster Desk Into A Kitchen Island

Medium
We found a typical brown desk by a dumpster and turned it into a fabulous new kitchen island. It is modern in style with a stainless top and rusted metal highlights and shelving. Everything used in this project was a recycled material and the paint was found in the oops department at Home Depot. This was a moderate project due to the metal cutting involved. See blog post for details and more photos.

Really unique and love how rustic and shabby it is! I can see you put a lot of thought into the items you chose for it. For those that took such time and effort into making such insults... something obviously caught your eye to look closer in the first place. Ever heard the old saying "if you don't have anything nice to say... then don't say anything at all!"????
