What to do w/bathroom cabinets?

We bought an old fixer-upper from 1986. The prev. homeowners diy'ed the hall bath, a disaster. Cream tub, lav., wall. Palest pink tile around the tub-makes cream look dirty. Floor is pinky beige terrazzo?

Do you have a photo of the bathroom? With what I'm able to imagine, I would maybe go with a nice crisp, pure white. It seems like there are already a lot of colors going on in there so maybe keeping it simple would be best. It's hard to tell without seeing it though. Good luck!

Go white with the cabinets. Have you thought of retiling or painting the tiles? I'd go with a darker beige than the tub, but not too dark. Something like mushroom.

Thank you KEE! I have researched painting tiles on the net, talked to paint people, tile people, construction people, and all say it cannot be done successfully. I think I'll paint them to blend with my new gray shower curtain and gray tasseled microfiber finger textury rug. It seems to distract from the white/cream dilemma.

I mean paint the cabinets a blending gray, light or medium I'm not sure yet.
