What are the advantages of composite decking vs wood decking?

Hi Brian, Composites, when compared to wood, don't rot or get eaten by the various bugs. However, it is also a lot more expensive to use as a decking material, so expect a higher cost to build it.

composits are a great idea,however not without problems. 1. because the sun is really hard on petroleum based products it tends to have its own set of characteristics not related to wood. 2. higher initial cost
