Are you looking for something unique and a little bit different to encourage your little one to express their creativity? This GIANT pencil legged table that doubles up as a blackboard can be made in an afternoon and it won't cost an arm or a leg either ;-)
Isn't that the cutest thing ever icon It can be customized to fit their bedroom decor or the playroom and they'll love it!! All you need is some left over spray paint, tape, a scrap piece of wood and a PVC pipe. We love using PVC pipes to make furniture, they're light and come in all sizes.
Cut the PVC pipes into 4 equal lengths depending on high you want to table to be. Spray the top 3/4 portion of the pipe in a bright, happy color and the bottom in a pale pink.
Wrap a piece of aluminium tape around the pipes to mimic the metal bit the holds the eraser portion on the pencil.
For the table top we used a scrap piece of wood that we painted with blackboard paint and then we attached the GIANT "pencil" legs. It's that easy icon
What do you think, would you make something like this for your little one?

P.S. We've put the full tutorial on the blog if you like to see step by step instructions
