there are paints for plastic....used them an a plastic patio set. get a tester or sample size and and try the paint in a non conspicuous area

Hello Susan; I found a huge section of paints at True Value Hardware that will work for this.
The paint is called Rust X-O paint and primer all in one.
Furthermore, You might wish to check Google, as I found all kinds of ideas, and paints that will work for your project!!!

Krylone has a paint specifically for plastic.
