Follow these three simple guidelines and you’ll have the fluffiest towels ever: Don’t Overcrowd the Washer
You should always wash your towels in their own wash cycle for maximum fluffiness. But more importantly, you should avoid filling your washer to the brim with dirty laundry. Different sized washers can handle different amounts, but as a general rule of thumb, shoot for ½ to ¾ full for your towel loads. Medium Heat for the Win
It’s tempting to use the high heat setting on your dryer, but that’ll de-fluff them! You need to let those puppies slow-cook. It takes longer, but you’ll start noticing the difference right away. Be sure you dry them completely before pulling them from the dryer to avoid mold and mildew! Go Easy on the Fabric Softener
Too much fabric softener will give your towels a waxy sheen that looks gross and feels unpleasant. So while it may seem counterintuitive, you should use fabric softener in moderation. Try cutting the amount you use in half and see what happens. Tip: You can also try forgoing fabric softener entirely by adding ¼ cup of vinegar to your washing cycle. The vinegar will soften your towels without the side effects.

I never put fabric softener in my towls it seems to waterproof them so when you go to dry off they do not dry you thoroughly I do use a fabric softener sheet to avoid static
