If they are your dogs, put baking soda in the water and it will prevent the yellow spots.

I'm afraid you won't be able to - It's the nature of the beast. It's called marking...........

They are not my dogs. The owners walk their dogs on a lease and stop to allow the dogs to pee. I have seen and asked the owners to not allow their dog to stop at my yard to do their busniess (This hasn't. helped when I am not present). There has to be some way to stop this. HOA wont allow scrubs that close to the curb.

Had another thought - If you are talking about your Front Lawn then grow spiky plants like Berberis around it.

If you can, look for sign asking pet owners to keep off the grass. If there is a specific area the dogs tend to pee on, buy a cheap fence that is only a foot high. You can get these at any hardware store. Stick the fence in the ground, with the sign. Last... ask your local police to talk to the intruders if you know who they are. Stand outside in full view of the owners and start taking pictures with your Iphone or???? Also if the dog is a female there is a good chance that the urine will burn your grass. So if you see the dog squat and pee, try to get a pail of water to dilute the urine. Good luck!
