Siding needs very little care except to power wash it if it gets mildew, or hose wash it once a year to rid it of dirt and dust. Sometimes there are left over pieces and it can be used if you get a small damage area. We know a vinyl installer and he gave us some similar pieces to put under the house to use if we ever had any hail damage or anything.
Keep them in good order. Keep Stained or Painted .
Keep siding clean by rinsing as needed. Try not to get water behind the siding when cleaning as this could damage it and cause mold behind the siding.
I have vinyl siding and Rinse it and Forget it and power wash keep it looking good.
Pressure washing keeps it up nicely.
I would just keep it clean.
