Transform a Pizza Pan Into a Stylish Magnet Board!

I find that one of the best ways to get (and stay) organized is by having several prominent spots to put important papers. Because of that, I have several bulletin boards and magnet boards throughout my home. One day while shopping at Dollar Tree, I spotted a plain pizza pan and immediately had the idea to turn it into a stylish magnet board for my daughter's bedroom! It's such an easy project that will help control some of her paper clutter (hopefully). I started by flipping the pizza pan over and painting around the outer edge with chalky finish paint. Acrylic paint would work well for this step, too!
Once the paint dried, I roughly traced the pizza pan circle onto a piece of 12"x12" scrapbook paper and cut it out. The circle wasn't perfect, so I had to trim pieces here and there. Eventually it was a pretty close match to the inner circle of the pizza pan.
Next I used spray adhesive to attach the scrapbook paper to the pizza pan.
This next step was purely for decoration. I cut a piece of rope and attached it to the outer rim of the pizza pan with super strong glue. I then pressed it down with rocks (but you could use any heavy object), to ensure that the rope would stay in place and stick to the pizza pan.
When the glue completely dried, I attached two mini 3M Command Hooks to the back of the pizza pan, upside down, and then strung a ribbon through them to create a hanger for the magnet board.
My daughter chose some fun new magnets for her board and we hung it up in her room!
It is a super cute magnet board that looks wonderful in her space! The beauty of this project is that you could customize the look any way you'd like! The paint colors and scrapbook paper make it easy to personalize.

I love this magnet idea - When you paste the paper designs on there does it still hold magnet cards? I would like to do this for my Kindergarten SS class and have them make magnets to hang on it such as the 10 commandments etc Thanks for sharing your terrific idea
