Why let good heat go to waste during cold winters? Install a heat keeper to allow hot air flow to stay inside, while still keeping lint at bay. This kit is easy to install and gives you a good excuse to also perform regular dryer maintenance. *FOR ELECTRIC DRYERS ONLY
This view shows the heat keeper open for winter. During the summer it can be closed so hot air goes outside.
I also added a Space Save duct so the dryer could be pushed closer to the wall.
While putting in the new ductwork, I used a sweeper to clean out the tough-to-reach lint.

Wouldn't this cause excessive moisture in your home, leading to possible mold problems?

in the winter time, the heater removes a lot of moisture from your air- that is why your sinuses dry out- so unless its just kept in the laundry room- it could be a good thing.
