Here are some links with great ideas for organization that think out of the box, I am currently using some of these ideas now and doing more in the future:

This site starts with vanity organization, but goes through just about everything and there are some really clever ideas on here:

Is it time to purge the things you haven't used in a year? Clutter in feng shui is considered "white noise".... it distracts you from what's important in your life and decreases your focus to achieve what you do want in life.

First thing is purge it all. Tax files you need to keep for 7 years maybe 10 to be on safe side. Any other printed info go through with an attitude of do we still own it, If no then toss it. Repair receipts don't do a lot of good it you have already sold it, lost it, etc. Shred or burn anything with your name or other personal info on it.

Clothes are the same. Do I still wear it, will I wear it again, does it even fit anymore. Bag it up for yard sale or donate to thrift shop. If you have a consignment shop in area take the best stuff to put it in for sale.

If it has an interresting design, and you sew, then put in box for crafting. If it's a lot of material buy a few space bags..those that you store stuff and vacuum to reduce size.

Otherwise sturdy boxes with label on side can be stacked in closet or craft room. Best boxes I've found are the ones that copy paper comes in. You might be able to get some from office mail room.

For out of season clothes use the vacuum bags, they do work great and take up less room. Same goes for bedding, even pillows, they go in clean and come out clean and ready to use. Get those expanding file folders to keep receipts, etc. in. They have separations and labels and enough room for a year. You could also do this with instruction booklets for appliances, etc. Label each container with what kind of things you put in the folder, like receipts-2017, etc. and you can find the one you need at a glance. Hope this helps some!

Deanna right on the money and purging you clothes closet I turn the hanger the wrong way and after each season the hanger that are still hanging wrong are all the items never worn.... get rid of them and every new clothing I buy I get rid of 3.
