    Try heating the blob with a blow dryer and gently scraping it off with a plastic scraper.

    Try using goof off,goo gone or a little WD40

    I suggest sanding with a finger nail file if possible

  • you could try using a blow dryer to soften the glue to gently pull it off.

    Have you tried orange oil to soften it?

    Use a single edge razor to get as much off without going into the wood, then you will have less to remove if it's a glob. Then try a heat gun to soften it up and use a plastic putty knife to gently lift it off.

    Gently scrape off - without touching the wood - as much as you can with something ”soft” like plastic or wood -not metal! Try the ideas above for the residue. There is a product called “Goo-Gone” (and probably available under other names) that might take off the residue.
