I go to the floor covering store .I buy a piece of new Linoleum . The pictures are some of the projects I do with the Linoleum.
I got this piece of new Linoleum for $ 15.00 .I measure and cut a piece of it, to fit under the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
This is the old piece from under the sink. I just used it as the pattern to cut the new piece.
It is so easy to cut .Then just flip over and slide in place. The floor of the kitchen cabinet will look nice for years, The last piece I put down ,was nine years ago. The wood under the sink looks like new ,because it's always covered. If something should get's spilled on the linoleum it's easy to clean up.
No glue is used , I do put a coat of floor wax on the linoleum ,let it dry. Then it's just slipped into place, then just put you things back under the sink. You Will have scraps left over. I craft with them. One thing I do is make the kids book marks.
Just cut up some craps of the Linoleum book mark size . I use a felt tip marker to put a nice edge on the book mark .You will be using the back side of the scrap of linoleum.
Let the kids use stickers to embellish the book marks
I added the leaf design to the bird stickers on the book mark. Then brushed it with puzzle glue to cover the stickers ,
The project is completed with a hole punched near the top center of the book mark, some ribbon was attached to that. When you close the book over the book mark the top edge of the book mark and the ribbon will hang out of the book .So it can be flipped open to the page the kids need fast . Use only the flat stickers Sticker's can be expensive ,so check Walmart first then the craft store ,have you coupons ready to use to drop that price You can also let the kids make a design on the book marks with felt tip marker. I have used pictures from a trip ,I made the pictures little., A little larger than a stamp. Then used rubber cement to glue them to the book mark. Then coat the book mark with puzzle glue . It's a fun fast project, and . I was able to re cover 4 areas under sinks. and cut 10 book marks and still have some left over. My grand kids like giving friend book marks. So we always do extra. It is a fast end of summer project. If you are only going to do the book marks .Ask you floor covering store If you can check the dumpster to get a scrap of new linoleum that would be free. We still have stickers left over so more can be made. The book mark project takes about an hour .the under kitchen cabinet re do takes me about 30 minutes.

Hi I'm glad you like this project. I would not use the floor covering as shelf liner in the house I would not set food packaging on it ,because of what it is made from .It has a little odder to it. I have a big piece of it on the garage floor to set the paint can on. I flip it over and use the back side to make kids car rugs and season floor mats. The home made car mat work's so much better that the car rugs It's so smooth .the cars roll well. Have fun Angie

I love your ideas! Especially those bookmarks, they're great, and waterproof! (think coffee)
