  1. I'm looking for suggestions to make more room on my tiny bathroom sink area. I don't know why in the 60s they made such tiny bathrooms. I'm a child of the 60s!

Sure wish there was a picture to see how tiny it is...

I use shelving over the toilet. Not one of those prefab ones with legs around the toilet, but real shelving with baskets on it. A cabinet would work also to hide the make up and odds and ends. Can you put a pretty basket on the window ledge to hold items?

  • Back in the day--during my small bathrooms days--I glued a Velcro strip around the sink and added a curtain (with the other Velcro strip sewed onto it at the top). Then, behind the curtain I was able to stash supplies. If your sink is squeezed between 2 walls, Put up a tension rod between the walls and in front of the sink. Hang a curtain there to hide items stored behind the curtain.

  • Add shelves wherever you can!

If you have room on the sides, hang wire baskets and roll up towels and bath cloths in the baskets.

I took out my tiny bathroom medicine cabinet over the sink and put in a very large one. Put a magnetic strip on the inside of the medicine cabinet door for all you little scissors, tweezers, nail clippers etc.

There was a kitchen cabinet installed over the toliet, I took off the 2 sets of doors, and painted inside and put matching white baskets inside to hold lots of stuff. I put a shelf over the door for rolled towels.

There was a small area between the sink and tub, and I got an old VCR tape tower from the thrift store, and painted white and mounted it to the wall for lots of storage next to sink for makeup, soaps etc. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/517984394626043553/

I changed up the towel rods, switching to smaller ones, but stacking 2, one higher up the wall and one at normal height next to shower. Put in a ring towel bar next to sink on right side of medicine cabinet.
