Hi, Actually, spray painting it is best. It wont clog the holes! If you decide to to use an oil base paint and roller, use a short nap 1/4" roller and apply the a thin coat.

    Have fun!

Personally, I would spray paint the peg board. Be sure to put something behind it if you choose to spray paint. Don't spray too close or it will drip and only move your can either up and down or left to right. Don't do both. Hope this helps...

Absolutely not, as long as it not going to hang outside. Latex has fewer fumes and cleans up easier. Be sure you protect the surface beneath it when you paint, like the garage floor or kitchen table. Those are really holes, and the paint will go through. Roller, spray, brush, sponge--they all work. I just use semi-gloss latex myself.

You can use oil, latex, or spray paint to paint peg board. Remember that pegboard is pressed together wood chips mixed with glue and pressed into any desired shape. You wouldn't want it to get wet from sitting in liquid or from rain.

Be sure and paint in a well ventilated area.

You can use any paint. Just be sure to put something underneath.
